Rohr Bais Chaya Academy  is committed to educating our youth to give to their community. In 2005, we were the first school in Florida to join the Milken Festival for Youth and be awarded a grant from the Milken Family Foundation to help our program flourish. Distributions take place monthly in Coral Springs and Tamarac.

Our students volunteer once a month to help shop, collect, package and distribute food parcels to needy families in the Coral Springs area. Our program is open to all religions and backgrounds and any low income family regardless of age or creed is able to apply for assistance. Our unique desire is to take care of each other and do good in the world. During Hurricane Wilma, our student climbed up to 8 flights of stairs to deliver food to Haitian, African American and Jewish families who were without food or electricity for days.

Students and volunteers work together to package kosher, non-perishable food in boxes.  After packing, volunteers load their cars and deliver the food packages to each of the recipient families according to pre-determined delivery routes, complete with driving directions and maps.
