Curriculum

Rohr Bais Chaya Academy provides a comprehensive curriculum of Judaic and General Studies courses that meet the academic needs of all students. Honors courses, as well as remedial support, are offered in many subject areas.

Our Judaic Studies curriculum incorporates an in-depth and comprehensive study in the following subject areas: Chumash, Navi, Tanya, Chassidus, Likutei Sichos, Halacha, Tefillah, Hashkafa, and Historia. In addition to textual skills development and core knowledge acquisition, emphasis is placed on critical thinking skills to encourage discussion and better integration of the information. Creating relevancy of the subject material allows students to apply the lessons learned in their daily lives.

The General Studies curriculum is designed to align with the curricular objectives of the Florida Sunshine State Standards. Courses are given that meet and exceed the Florida Legislative requirements for obtaining a high school diploma. Presently classes are offered in Language Arts, History, Mathematics – Algebra I through Pre-Calculus, and Science – Biology, Chemistry, and Anatomy/Physiology. Fine Arts courses are given during elective periods allowing for a holistic educational experience for our students.

To foster the integration of Rohr Bais Chaya Academy’s mission and educational philosophy within our students, students participate in a wide-range of community-based activities including hospital visitation, a mentoring program, and mivtzoyim. These experiences, in conjunction with farbrengens, school programs emphasizing the Chassidishe Yom Tovim, and an active Bnos Chabad and Achos Hatamimim helps to develop within our students Ahavas Yisroel, unconditional love for all and a strong Hiskashrus to the Rebbe.
