our story
Rohr Bais Chaya Academy first opened its doors in the fall of 2005 in Pompano Beach, with a single 9th grade class of 30 girls from the local community, as well as girls coming from around the world.
Just one year later, we were already outgrowing the space. Enrollment doubled to 65 girls, with students coming from across the U.S., Canada, Austria, Australia, and Colombia.
With the help of the Rohr family and a partnership with Mr. Isaac Kodsi, the school secured a brand new 30,000-square-foot square foot building, which opened its doors in 2007.
We take our students’ comfort seriously. We are expanding with the addition of the brand new Life House Residence Hall, a 20,000-square-foot building that will double our capacity.
Today, students from across the US and beyond enjoy all that Rohr Bais Chaya Academy has to offer. Some things have changed, but no matter our size, facilities, or location, our dedicated faculty remains true to our original mission and continues "Raising Lamplighters."
