student life
At Rohr Bais Chaya Academy, learning goes beyond the classroom.
Students are encouraged to take on responsibilities in and out of the classroom. Students join different committees where they are responsible for arranging and planning various programs.
Extracurricular programming at Bais Chaya is robust, exciting, and gives students outlets for their creative energy and space for their diverse talents to shine.

Bnos Chabad
Bnos Chabad organizes a variety of programs throughout the year, including Rosh Chodesh events, Yomim Tovim, Melave Malkas, the end-of-year banquet and more. These events involve the entire school, with most activities taking place during school hours. The goal is to enhance the school atmosphere and create a vibrant, engaging environment.
The themes of the programs are designed to be both fun and meaningful, providing students with opportunities for personal growth. Additionally, these initiatives foster a deep sense of Ahavas Yisroel and help students develop a lasting Hiskashrus to the Rebbe.

Achos Hatmimim
Achos is designed to help the students step out of their comfort zones and challenge themselves to grow. Participation in Achos is completely optional, but it requires commitment and we highly encourage all students to join!
The program includes school-wide Achos boosts, book clubs, videos, farbrengens, and rewards at the end of each segment.

Chassidishe Yomim Tovim
The CYT team oversees programs related to Chassidishe Yomim Tovim throughout the year. These include full-day programming, such as Chai Elul, Yud Tes Kislev, and Yud Shvat, as well as smaller programs and initiatives celebrating Tes Vov Elul, Chof Cheshvan, and more. Whether it’s an in-school program, a note and treat on students’ desks, or a 10-minute program before recess, CYT ensures that Chassidishe Yomim Tovim are celebrated meaningfully.

Big Sister - Little Sister
BSLS hosts programs every month, providing a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with girls from other grades. Ninth graders are paired with eleventh graders, while tenth graders are matched with twelfth graders. Each pair of students enjoys shared activities, gaining a chance to get to know other students and bond over mutual interests.

Chidon
The yearly High School Chidon is run in partnership with the Batsheva Learning Center. This voluntary program encourages students to pick up a sefer, learn it, and make it their own. In essence, Chidon supports students in taking a proactive approach to Torah study, sharpening their learning skills, and broadening their knowledge. It’s also a special opportunity to go head-to-head with 200-plus students from over a dozen schools around the USA, culminating in a grand championship.

Production
Any high school student can tell you that production is the highlight of the year. It’s an incredible opportunity for students to shine and showcase their talents, be it acting, singing, dancing, playing an instrument, writing scripts or songs, taking care of logistics, or creating artwork. The energy during production season is high as students take ownership of their roles and find the areas in which they shine.
The plays, which are hosted at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, are based on inspiring stories with strong and relevant messages. They’re attended by upwards of 700 people, with guests travelling in from all over Florida and even out-of-state.

VIP Program
VIP is an incentivized program encouraging our students to take steps toward healthier phone usage by reducing smartphone usage and filtering their devices. Its objective is to benefit our students mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
As girls voluntarily choose to join and are rewarded for their efforts, we hope this initiative will create a positive atmosphere surrounding mindful technology choices in our school.
Dorm students are required to have the kPhone filter and are therefore automatically enrolled in the VIP program.

Shabbatons
The Rohr Bais Chaya Academy Shabbaton is one of the most anticipated events of the year. Students spend a weekend together, enjoying guest speakers, workshops, farbrengens, trips and activities, and most importantly, a wonderful atmosphere. The annual shabbaton is truly a bonding experience.

Farbrengens
Class mechanchos arrange monthly farbrengens for their classes as well as in-school farbrengens where the girls can talk, connect with one another, and find inspiration
“All the programs are well-thought-out and superbly executed with the girls' benefit in mind. Our daughter will move on from this experience with self-confidence, maturity and a true sense of her role as a Bas Chabad.”
